Our purpose as a support group is to provide a location, on a local level, where one can come and find information, support, and share experiences related to the most common genetic life threatening disease that most people have never heard about: Polycystic Kidney Disease.

We intend to make this a pro-active website... one where you, the visitor will help us make this site into what you would like it to be. Please bear with us though, as this is a work in progress and we are all just volunteers - so you may find that we are sometimes behind on our updates.

Please feel free to send us comments and suggestions so we may continue to make this area of cyberspace one you will choose to visit frequently, maybe learn a thing or two, and keep up with the happenings of our local PKD Foundation, Long Island Chapter.

Along with our new name, we have plans to go through and update this ENTIRE website, but that will take some time. We will also be getting a new domain name, www.pkdlongisland.org though you will still be able to access it using the original one: www.pkdofgreaterny.org.
